What happens at the first visit?

First we always listen carefully to patient symptoms and concerns, and will then provide an orthodontic examination.

The orthodontist will usually be able to indicate whether or not treatment is needed and, if needed, when the best time to start treatment would be.

If the treatment is needed the patient is given an appointment for taking diagnostic records.

That means two X-rays (panoramic and cephalometric), we take impressions for study models and we take intra-oral and extra-oral photographs.

When the orthodontist has the records, he can create an individual treatment plan for the patient and on the next visit will be able to discuss it with the patient (and parents).

Furthermore, we will provide you with all the necessary information about the cost of treatment and payment options.
